Regarding University of Berkley Accreditation:

Our non-traditional, distance education university degree programs are comprehensive yet individualized, the nexus of which is primarily focused upon discovering, assessing, augmenting and documenting: knowledge, life experiences and specialized career skills and other areas of expertise. We're sure that you will be; as so many others, completely satisfied with the quality of positive interaction you will experience at the University of Berkley.

In the United States, accreditation is used to assure quality in schools or educational institutions and programs. It should be noted that accreditation is a voluntary, non-governmental process of review and evaluation.

The accreditation process requires an educational institution or program to meet certain, defined standards or criteria as set forth by the accrediting body.

These standards change from State to State, and from region to region. These standards also change with time. In fact, thankfully and partly because of our country's heritage and Constitution (re: "freedom of choice") there are no two Universities that have the same structure, philosophies, teaching modalities or evaluation criteria. This can act to give or permit a certain degree of freedom.

University of Berkley and its graduates or degree holders experience a universally high acceptance rate.

Without doubt, many of our students/graduates are among the highest caliber, most intelligent, talented, best-educated and most effective individuals you will find anywhere. Our graduates, and their UofB degrees, are equal to their counterparts from traditional schools anywhere in the world.

When the University of Berkley was first started in Berkley MI, in 1988 we were considered too “different”, and could not be traditionally accredited. Today however, owing to the proliferation of non-traditional, on-line schools: the situation has changed dramatically.

From 1988 which was our very beginning; the University of Berkley has been the educational arm of the "Universal Pantheistic and Theosophical Society". We have always claimed: religious school, theological and seminary affiliation and therefore are de-facto exempt in numerous legal opinions from certain varied state regulations and oversight because of the conflict which arises when our constitutional rights have been ignored, trampled upon or we have been discriminated against.

Currently 28 different states exempt theological, bible, seminaries, schools and colleges from regulation. One of the most recent states to deregulate was Texas in 2007. The state supreme court of Texas ruled that the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board could not forbid the unaccredited Tyndale Theological Seminary and Bible Institute from calling itself a seminary or using words such as: degree, bachelor, master, and doctor. Such terms belonged to the church before the government claimed them. As one can see, the forces for good are prevailing.
